Funny, it was only a mere 6 months, since this disturbing News broke. Yet somehow it seems like a half-life-time away. So much other disturbing news has long since, washed away — under the Donald-Delay news-culvert-bridge.
Trump allegedly discussed US nuclear subs with foreign national after leaving White House: Sources
Trump allegedly discussed the information with an Australian billionaire.
Months after leaving the White House, former President Donald Trump allegedly discussed potentially sensitive information about U.S. nuclear submarines with a member of his Mar-a-Lago Club — an Australian billionaire who then allegedly shared the information with scores of others, including more than a dozen foreign officials, several of his own employees, and a handful of journalists, according to sources familiar with the matter.
[...]
According to [Anthony] Pratt's account, as described by the sources, Pratt told Trump he believed Australia should start buying its submarines from the United States, to which an excited Trump — "leaning" toward Pratt as if to be discreet — then told Pratt two pieces of information about U.S. submarines: the supposed exact number of nuclear warheads they routinely carry, and exactly how close they supposedly can get to a Russian submarine without being detected.
[...]
[Prosecutors and FBI] investigators nevertheless asked Pratt not to repeat the numbers that Trump allegedly told him, suggesting the information could be too sensitive to relay further, ABC News was told.

Since this National Secrets disclosure happened AFTER Trump left the White House, shouldn’t this alleged crime be outside of the scope of the Presidential Immunity claims, currently dithering their way through the SCOTUS slow-walk docket?
Couldn’t Jack Smith (or AG Garland) file separate charges on the on-going National Security Threat — that Donald Trump STILL represents? At the very least, these should be grounds for searching his other properties — like Bedminster Golf resort, where boatloads of banker-boxes were shuttled in the dead of the night.
What in the world are they waiting for — the inevitable Russian attack on US subs … or worse?
“Loose lips, sink ships” was the battle cry of WWII.
And by all accounts, Donald Trump will spill secrets, if you just pay for the access, and then flatter him adequately enough. If Mr. Insurrection were a private citizen, he would never get a Security Clearance, given his track record. Guess what, the dude IS a private citizen.
A mere citizen with scads of insider knowledge, who caters to anyone willing to pony-up the cold hard cash:
For cool $814K you too can get “dinner seating at Trump’s table,” along with other fawning/foreign Billionaire bigwigs. And if you can only pony-up a mere $250K, well you’ll score “a photo with the former president and receive a goody bag,” and get to see where that ‘elbow-rubbing’ leads ...
Let’s just hope Dishonest Don doesn’t end up in a serious cash-bind or something … if that were to happen, then we should shudder to think, of what National Secrets he might let go to the the highest bidder …
—
We’ve been warned … yet somehow Crazy Don just keeps getting the “benefit of the doubt” from our ridiculously cautious legal system — like National Security doesn’t EVEN matter anymore, once you step foot onto the sovereign domain of Mar-a-Lago Club House rules.
Just ask Pratt. How many compliments it took to get the Don to spill … ?
Just ask those Secret Service agents, who are paid (with our tax dollars) to protect him.
Something is just plain wrong with this Scales of Justice picture. And that something is that the career scofflaw is always one-step outside of the Law’s long reach.
